In 2010 and 2011 we employed the services of Protree to dismantle an extremely large Poplar tree at the back of our property. The tree itself was positioned in very close proximity to our house with large branches overhanging both the roof and the adjacent public bush reserve.

When dealing with any new contractor it can be tough to know what you’re getting up front, and due to the challenging nature of this job and associated risks involved it was essential that we secured the services of a reputable, capable and professional company. Through a positive verbal reference and multiple informative discussions with Andrew regarding the tree removal process, I quickly became comfortable that Andrew/Protree had the expertise and the capability to complete the job.

The job itself was impressive to watch with the guys dismantling the tree from a great height, cutting and lowering pieces of tree safely to the ground, keeping the house and reserve safely intact. Once on the ground the team quickly and efficiently cut the huge branches into manageable firewood pieces, stacked them in a pile and tidied up as required.

Throughout this entire process Andrew and his team kept my wife and I fully informed of progress and any changes in schedule. This plus the professional service provided means I have no hesitation in using Protree to remove the last part of the tree – that’s once I get through my mountain of firewood.

Good communication, professional and efficient service at a very competitive price.
Overall a very professional job.

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your superb work at our property this month.

You and your team, once again, worked productively to prune and shape several tall trees in confined spaces without any damage to surrounding plants.

I was quite unable to fault any of your work, which is saying something.

Although I have 20 years of gardening experience, have pruned commercially and have friends who are qualified landscapers, I no longer feel secure to climb up trees with a saw. However, until I employed you and your team, I had not been able to find arborists who did an adequate job.

I would highly recommend you before any other arborist in Auckland.

I have been a client of Andrew’s since he started his own business several years ago. Each year Andrew and his team come and tidy up my trees, nothing is too big or too small to deal with. All debris is removed and left very tidy, and he doesn’t leave until I have given my approval. He arrives when he says he will and makes a superior job.

I would recommend Andrew, and have done to many of my friends, as he is trustworthy, careful and completes the job to my requirements.
